8 Weeks Early!

I have to update you all! Monday morning my daughter was taken to the Emergency Room and wished into an emergency caesarian section because my daughter’s blood pressure was dangerously high 260/148! She had HELPs syndrome. The treatment is delivery of the baby. She is improving and baby Katerina was born 10/09/2017 at 3 pounds and 15 inches long.

Katerina is going to have to be in the hospital for at least 3 weeks. They don’t have that rule anymore where you can take baby home at 5 pounds. It’s up to how the baby is or is not thriving. She is being fed via a tube down her throat into her tummy. Breast milk every 3 hours.

The one with the young man is the daddy! And the last one is my daughter.

Go grateful to God that my baby girl and her baby girl are alright!

Update: Sunday October 15, 2017

As of Saturday my daughter’s blood pressure still isn’t really under control. But they plan to discharge her later today.

Katerina is still 3 pounds at last report. She is under the bilirubin lights. I hope to see them both later today.

We got a house to move into in a week!

Thank you for your prayers 🙏🏻🙌🏻

My Etsy Shop! New winter hats just listed!

Purple preemie bonnet! The first one was a crochet beanie that was too small so I donated it to the NICU! 💕

I crochet. A lot. I make just about everything you would need if you lived in a cabin in the woods. Not plates and an ax but all the soft stuff. Hats, mittens and scarves. Blankets and shawls, too. I haven't made a pillow yet but I do make dolls, stuffed animals and jewelry. I am inspired by our pioneering ancestors who had to make almost everything they needed. I'd like to get back to that. It is an antidote for our microwave, I-want-it-now society. So, browse and if you like something and want it made special, just for you, please email me or put your order in the comments. Thank you!
